How do I drop off a drive for data recovery?

Please give us a call to setup a drop-off appointment. This is a home based business, so please be sure to call first and setup an appointment before coming by.

How much does data recovery cost?

We have three levels of data recovery depending on what is needed to get the data back. You can see our prices and read all about the services on our data recovery pricing page. If you would like to discuss your particular recovery, please call us or fill out the form at the top of the page. We look forward to answering your questions.

What does the data recovery process look like?

Our recovery process is designed to be easy for you.
1. The first step is to fill out our recovery form. We will take a look and let you know what we believe the cost will be for your recovery and answer any questions you have.
2. The next step is to get your drive to us. If you are local you can setup an appointment to drop-off at our home based business, or if you are outside or local area you can pack up your drive and ship it out to us!
3. That is it! We will take care of the rest… We get the drive entered into our system when it arrives with customer tags, diagnose the issues with the drive, image the data to a good drive, scan the data for folder structure and files, and let you know when it is complete.

How long does it take to recover my data?

The time it takes to recover depends on the level recovery needed. Most standard and standard+ recoveries are completed within 1-3 days of us receiving your drive. Sometimes if we need a part (most Lab Restoration projects repair part ordered), it can take 1-3 weeks to complete the recovery. We do have a rush service available if you need the data back even faster.

Does recovering some of the data cost the same as recovering all the data?

Because the going through the data and picking out files is one of the last steps of the recovery process, the cost for recovering some or all of the data is the same.

Can I pick and choose what data I get back?

Answer

How do you give my data back to me?

Answer

How much do you charge to evaluate the hard drive and provide a quote?

Answer

Can I reuse my hard drive after the recovery?

Sometimes during the recovery process the issues your drive was having will be addressed (like a firmware issue) and the drive will seem to be usable. We do not recommend using the drive again as the chance of it having issues is much higher than a new drive. With the cost of new drives being so low, we highly recommend going with a new drive and not using the old drive again, even it it works.

If you don’t recover my data do I still have to pay something?

Answer

Can you estimate how much the recovery is going to cost before I send you the drive?

Yes! Just give us a call or fill out our estimate request form and we will let you know what we believe the cost will be for recovering your drive.

What devices can you recover data from?

We recover data from hard drives from all computer types (Mac’s and PC’s), external hard drives, solid state drives, USB drives, iPhones, MacBook computers where the data chips are soldered onto the logic board, and more! Chances are we will be able to offer data recovery for your device, but just contact us and we are happy to go over your project.
